Sunday Morning - 1.10.13 - Romans 12:13

Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Romans 12:13

As I've gotten older I sometimes feel there's not so much I can do ... a job, or caring for the elderly as I did my parents for years. My children are nearly grown and gaining independence.

I often pray, Lord, what can I do with my days?

This verse is a clear answer. And I'm sure it's brings me more joy than it does to those I serve.

My house isn't always the cleanest or the fanciest ... but the door is always open to all.

The Lord's "door" is always open, too ... we will never fail to receive a warm welcome when we turn to Him. I'm so thankful for that.

  5. I love the picture of your parents. What a special thing to have.
I know what you mean about wanting to do things for others. Bruce and I just talked about that. For us, it means being more aware of opportunities and then acting on them. Too often, we're just caught up in ourselves and later we'll realize there was a moment when we could have shown Christ to others and we missed it. Thanks for the reminder.
