Well the calendar got flipped over to September and I said, "That's close enough." Close enough to autumn to decorate the buffet in my favorite fall decorating colors ~
While cruising around the Blogging World this weekend, I found an amazing tutorial from Shannon at Cozy Home Scenes. My three-tier version is a little different but I'm terribly glad she gave me the idea - thanks Shannon!
This corner of the den was ready for a small fall tweak. As Shelia at Note Songs would say, "I poked some of my fauxs" into a pitcher ~
Be sure you check out Shelia's new fall blog banner,
it's a beauty - love her banners!
So far, my fall decor has been no cost, just using what I have.
I'll start working on my fall mantle as soon as I get my idea settled in my mind. I've got the basics for it, just need to sketch something out on paper and then do it.
Have you started decorating with the reds, yellows, and oranges yet? What's the first place in your house that gets a "fall redo?"
I'm sharing at Brenda's Cozy Little House,
Check out her party, there are great links there.

Purty!
ReplyDeleteI will experience fall decor through all my bloggy peeps this year because if we get to buy the house we want, my house won't get the fall touch this year! Well, unless you count brown boxes! ♥
Lovely! Those colors just scream FALL! I haven't started decorating for Fall but you are inspiring me to drag out that tub from the attic:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! Oh, I love all of your Falleness! Look at those Pyrex pieces filled to the brim with Fall! I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for mentioning me on your blog. I do make my own headers but I hadn't heard of Ribbet so I went over to play and it was so easy!
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Mom and I started our fall decorating a week or two ago, but have only done the mantel, the tiered tray, and another simple arrangement. I always enjoy all the pretty decorations for this time of year, so I can't wait to finish what we've started.
ReplyDeleteYou've off to a great start with your autumn decorating and did a fabulous job on your tiered tray. I love your version of it! Thank you so much for the shout out Mary. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteI just love the pyrex and the pumpkins. Perfection!! I want to decorate for fall too. It is still a 100 here. I feel like it will never be cool again.
